Is winter over yet? Please say yes.
In Michigan we haven’t had much snow or super cold weather, but it has been so gray and dreary. I swear I didn’t see the sun at all for over two months. The lack of light left me feeling drained and blah.
The only thing that got me through the darkness was books. Lots and lots of books. I finished the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter and started the spinoff series, Soulwood. I am currently on book three.
I finally read Juliet Blackwell’s latest cozy mystery, Bewitched and Betrothed.
And I received an ARC of Smoke Bitten (Mercy Thompson Book 12) by Patricia Briggs, which releases March 17.
It was phenomenal. A page turner that I devoured in two days. I absolutely love this series. It is more on the urban fantasy side but because of the relationship between Mercy and Adam it also falls into the paranormal romance category but it has fantastic world building, which I love, and incredible character development. If you haven’t read this series or the Alpha and Omega spin off series I highly recommend them both.
