I’m very fortunate to have Sourcebooks doing my covers for my mass market books. They have an incredible art department who will work until they capture just the right look. In fact, most of my own covers have made me go, “Ahhh…” If not, “Gulp, OMG! and then Ahhh…” I have a whole page on my website dedicated to these covers. It’s called Gallery of Abs, Pecs, and Biceps. You really have to check out this outstanding page for yourselves! https://ashlynchase.com/gallery
Not all book covers that catch my eye make me drool. Some touch my heart or create a special mood. Some just surprise the heck out of me. I surfed the Sourcebooks website (Casablanca line) to find even more!
How about this one?
Terry Spear’s Hero of a Highland Wolf
Look at those eyes! Full disclosure, Terry Spear is a dear friend, so if you buy her book I won’t mind at all. :)
Amanda Bouchet’s A Promise of Fire
Another good friend’s book cover stopped me in my tracks, and it’s actually got a woman on the cover! But seriously, look at this butt-kicking female warrior written by the wonderful Amanda Bouchet!
Must Love Babies by Lynnette Austin
Now this next one isn’t written by anyone I know, but maybe I’d like to meet Lynette Austin. Is there anything more heartwarming than a handsome man protecting a tiny baby? I doubt it!
Kilts and Daggers by Victoria Roberts
And on the other end of the spectrum, here’s one that stopped me in my tracks and made me say, “Is that… Is he… Are they doing what I think they’re doing? Wow!” Thanks, Victoria Roberts and the Sourcebooks art department!
Okay, I was asked to limit the covers to 5, and even though it was extremely difficult, I had to stop here:
Linda Broday’s Forever His Texas Bride
There’s something incredibly sexy about a man carrying his heroine. He must be strong, especially if it looks like holding her is no hardship. If my husband tried to lift me like that, we’d probably both wind up on the floor, but that’s where the fantasy comes in. A good artist makes the fantasy look very real.
I would like to publicly thank Dawn, Art Director at Sourcebooks, for the incredible cover showcasing my silver fox Dr. Samuels in the rainforest. Here’s a link that will show all the online stores taking preorders: https://books2read.com/ap/ngobln/Ashlyn-Chase
What happens when the goddess meets Mr. Right...but she absolutely can't tell him who she really is?
After leaving his job as a cardiac surgeon, Dr. Aaron Samuels needs a new purpose in his life. Wanting to help his patients even if he can't operate, he heads to the Puerto Rican rainforest to find a cure for heart disease. He never imagined he'd meet a beautiful, mysterious woman, especially not one talking to a frog in the middle of the jungle...
Gaia—a.k.a. Mother Nature—has had it with paranormals breaking her number one rule: Never reveal your supernatural powers to humans, not even your mate. Fed up, she transports to the rainforest, happy to converse with amphibians who don't talk back. But Dr. Samuels is a much better conversationalist, and Gaia can't wait to help him mend all those broken hearts he told her about.
When her attempts to help only complicate things between them, Gaia begins to wonder what would happen if she opened her heart and was honest with Aaron...and herself. Maybe her number one rule has been wrong all along...
